Hi @Glen65, any chance you can post the new partner agreement.

it has some reference to insurance and partners responsibility.

Uber set the rules and wont change them for anyone. its all about them.

    Hello Glen,

Within the next few days, when you log onto the Uber app, you will receive a pop up notification about a new driver-partner agreement. You will be prompted to accept the new agreement before you can continue to go online and begin accepting trips.

Please take a moment to preview the Agreement prior to accepting them in-app.

    Thanks,

    The team at Uber Australia

Assume every one in OZ would get one of these?

3.2 Vehicle Requirements. You acknowledge and agree that your Vehicle shall at all times be: (a) properly registered and licensed to operate as a passenger transportation vehicle in the Territory; (b) owned or leased by you, or otherwise in your lawful possession; (c) suitable for performing the passenger transportation services contemplated by this Agreement; and (d) maintained in good operating condition, consistent with industry safety and maintenance standards for a Vehicle of its kind and any additional standards or requirements in the applicable Territory, and in a clean and sanitary condition

how many uberx partners are complying with this? let alone the insurance requirements

Any legal professional who read that agreement I am sure would suggest that you run and keep running. @Lidman and @DriverJ would you like to add anything?

they have put all the risk on the partner/driver in regard to authorization and insurance. there is nothing here for a partner except for possible doom gloom or high compliance cost.

I dont know why anyone would take the risk for uberx
