As you think about Uber, what are some enhancements or changes you would like to see with Uber whether on the Uber driver side or Uber rider side? I'll start with the first one. How about requiring Uber riders to input their pictures similar to Uber drivers? It would make passenger pickup much easier, thoughts?

Riders might have some privacy concerns.
We drivers sign a contract and get compensated for posting ours pics.
Our pics are part of a security process.

Biggest enhancement would be related to improving GPS/Map accuracy.

Pay drivers enough for the execellent service they provide and cover the cost of compliance, insurance and vehicle renewal. The current rates are simply not sustainable for partners.

Uber doesn't care that partners make less than minimum wage whilst it steals market share from Taxis who have statutory and compliance costs to cover.

Perhaps uber should charge riders an additional surcharge for pick ups that are further away than 10 minutes. This surcharge must be forwarded to the driver as an incentive. The rider can opt in for a speedier pick up or wait till some one accepts it at a no surcharge wait.

Conceptually not a bad idea but... rather than not accepting trips that are farther away than 10 minutes, would you be more inclined to reject pickups that are close in hope that "far away" requests (with surcharge) show up?

The rider would have the choice of paying more and i suppose some drivers would take the far pings and some would take the close ones. It may work or it may not but it could be an interesting experiment.

Have direction arrow on ping map so you can tell where the pickup is ahead of time. Is it in front of you as you are heading 65 MPH down the freeway or behind? This would benefit riders and drivers. For a driver to go the opposite way on a freeway it takes additional time that riders would not appreciate and may cancel anyway. It would benefit drivers in that they may be trying to get to a certain part of town and do not want to head back in the opposite way. Drivers can't always tell where the ping is before they accept it and kick in navigation. Thoughts?

Have riders name displayed entire time of ride versus having to exit out of navigation, going back into info, etc.

Good idea. Since the navigation program (Google Maps is what I'm using) is loaded and address populated from the driver app, they could probably figure out some way to overlay the rider's name at the top of the navigation screen.

Generally speaking, I don't address the passenger by name except when confirming I have the right passenger at pickup time. After they're in the car, it's "Sir," "Ma'am," and on rare occasions, "Hey, douchebag!"

Most of the time, I don't need to use navigation app to get to pickup or dropoff location (some newer residential developments require it as the streets sometimes don't follow "normal," street naming conventions used outside the development).
