Uber dispatches a passenger to the nearest drive and gives 15 seconds to accept it, right? If the driver doesn't accept it, then it passes onto the next nearest driver, so on so forth. I was wondering what would happen if no one accepts it! This obviously wouldn't go on forever... Does anyone know how long (or how many driver) does it take to notify a passenger that it has failed to find a driver?

It simply keeps being offered to the next closest driver until it reaches a distance away. Then it's re-offered to the original driver

If that driver doesn't accept it a 2nd time the system logs that app off. Which I can understand, not accepting work slows throughput right down.

But if a job is more than 5minutes away, careful consideration needs to be taken as to whether a possible $5 job or less will be worth it on X. Or in Black its $25 minimum here in Sydney so I'll run 10 mins or longer if I can talk with rider and verify they'll wait
